The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCC)-Governing Body (The Foundation) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit institution founded in 2001 by Royal Decree to combat cancer in Jordan and the Middle East region. KHCC is the leading cancer center in the Middle East region providing adult and pediatric patients with state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care for all types of cancer. It is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as a disease-specific cancer center, making it the first and only center in the developing world to earn such a distinction.
Leading Cancer Center
Based on an open tender conducted by The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation, EHS was selected from a pool of eleven companies for their first project in Jordan –King Hussain Cancer Center (KHCC), which established itself as the MENA region’s leading cancer center. Its world-class technology provides comprehensive cancer care that caters to the needs of adults and younger patients. The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation announced that it would donate equipment to the expansion of KHCC and chose EHS for the project. EHS was selected due their previous project management experience, outstanding technical and commercial background, and financial stability. The scope of the project was to supply and install the latest specialized medical equipment in the hospital’s new building, which is designed to accommodate and treat up to 7,000 cancer patients. EHS embarked on the two-year project with its team of highly experienced professionals, who covered the entire project’s lifecycle; from commissioning to hand-over. The team worked with technology leaders, Phillips, Elekta, and Maquet, to provide the latest equipment across different divisions, including Radiology, Oncology, Pediatrics and Operating Theaters. Being experts in project management, EHS offered flexible services and delivered the very best healthcare equipment, advanced alternative solutions, as well as training for the hospital’s staff.
